Farm Stand Fresh!! These 3 words best describe our Produce Department. When people talk about County Fair, produce is the first thing they mention.

Our tremendous volume enables us to buy at lower prices, and pass the savings on to our customers. Our variety is second to none and our quality and freshness are unquestioned.

With all its color and fabulous displays, it's a fun department, and our customers enjoy lingering throughout.

Our Produce Manager Sal, has traveled the world and loves to talk shop with his customers.

Our Produce is delivered fresh on a daily basis, and we buy locally grown produce as often as possible.

We also feature Organic Produce, and it continues to grow every year.

We like to brag about our Deli because our salads are Made Fresh Daily, with the finest ingredients and no preservatives.

Some of your many favorites include Pasta Salad, Nellie's Potato Salad, Maggie's Tortellini, Nellie's Cole Slaw and of course, the #1 Favorite, our famous Chicken Salad. We sell hundreds of pounds per week.

We also offer the finest variety of Deli Sliced meats and cheeses, but we are especially proud of our Nellie's All Natural Turkey Breast and U.S. Choice Roast Beef, which we roast daily in our ovens with our own seasonings.

Is Nellie a real person? Yes, her real name is Joan Baffes, Owner Bill Baffes's wife.

We also feature an interesting selection of our favorite Greek dishes, which everyone can enjoy.

In addition, we provide a daily selection of hot prepared foods, ready for you to take to your family table. All items are prepared daily in the County Fair kitchens and include favorites such as our own homemade Sausage and Peppers, Lasagna, Breast of Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese, Fresh Vegetables and Potatoes, and Soup du Jour.

In spite of our Deli, we are most proud of our friendly and knowledgeable Deli Clerks, especially Lisa, our Deli Manager, who has overseen our quality control for over 20 years.

County Fair offers a complete fresh Dairy Department that includes strong bone building milk featuring Kemp's, Oberweis, Organic Valley and Soy Milk.

The incredible, indelible Egg is a big deal at County Fair, as we feature our own Grade A Eggs, plus Organic Cage Free Range Eggs.

We have an extensive selection of both imported and domestic cheeses to fill your favorite recipe or accompany your favorite meal.

We also feature several varieties of yogurt, including Greek yogurt, Organic and traditional Dannon and Yoplait yogurt.

We understand that the foundation of any meal is usually meat, and this is where we really excel.

We strictly sell U.S. Choice and Prime Beef, Fresh U.S. Government Inspected Pork, All Natural Gold'n Plump Poultry and U. S. Choice Lamb.

Our butchers are always creating new cuts of meat, including “The Kreative Kabob”. Several of our specialties include Homemade Sausages, stuffed pork chops and stuffed chicken.

Make sure to stop in and try one of our oven ready dinners! We make, you bake!

Some of our special highlights throughout the year include:

• St. Patrick's Day: We sell 20,000 lbs. of Bulk Style Corned Beef during this special holiday; more than any other store in Chicago or maybe, the Country!

• Thanksgiving: We sell hundreds of fresh Turkeys, that are specifically ordered and selected for our customers.

• Christmas: This is the most special day of the year, and our customers demand the very best. That is why we feature U.S. Prime Beef Tenderloin and Prime Rib Roast of Beef.

However, we are most proud of our Extra Lean Ground Chuck, which we grind several times a day on our premises.

Our Greatest Advantage is our Butchers, and of course, our most valuable Irish Import, Mike Benson, who hails from County Adair, Ireland.
